The new house
Submitted by Dale T Hylton on Mon, 01/14/2008 - 19:28.Homes have changed over the years. You used to live in log homes without much insulation and no electricity. Now that is considered 'camping' or roughing it.
Now homes are getting everything. This is an example of what is now being designed for homes. Some people 'need' this, but for most it is a luxury.

Low Impact Development - LID
Submitted by Dale T Hylton on Fri, 12/14/2007 - 00:30.I attended a workshop today that focused on Low Impact Development (LID).
It was sponsored by Snohomish County to help find out what issues there are with LID from both the county side and the developers/owners side.
There are definately some issues and hopefully as a result of this workshop some resolutions will be made to help LID become a standard in development and that the process for LID will not take LONGER than current practices.
